Litter Pick
23rd February 2014
Horley Campsite
The Litter Pick at Horley is something we try and do each year as our small contribution to the huge amount of work that is required at the camp site.
We purposely hold this event in the winter as there are likely to be very few campers on the site, if any, and it is a way of spreading our ‘outdoor Scouting’ throughout the year.
Seven Cubs took part and were sensibly well wrapped up against the elements although we were lucky and had a rain free afternoon.
In the two hours we were at Horley we were able to walk all around the site, including the bottom section which the Cubs don’t usually see, and in the process collected the equivalent of three bin liners worth of rubbish between us.
A job well done!
