Scrapheap Challenge
8th March 2014
6th Banbury HQ
Scott and Cameron were the two Cubs who represented 7th Banbury Cub Pack at the District Cub Scrapheap Challenge held at 6th Banbury Scout Headquarters.
Working as a pair, and using materials provided such as garden canes, cellotape, string, elastic bands, scissors, wire coat hanger and washing up bowl, they had to construct something that would be able to catapult a small teddy bear.
Once the construction had been made, a testing period was allowed then a ‘competition’ at the end took place between all the other participating pairs.
Unfortunately Scott and Cameron didn’t win but both said they enjoyed the afternoon and having to work out their construction.
Well done to both Cubs for taking part.
